Finding my niche in teaching

Part of our series asking people how they find their passion, or niche in their work life.
After graduating from high school in the early 60’s, a friend and co-worker left working at a department store and went into the education program at UBC. His example rekindled earlier thoughts about teaching and the next year he started to attend UBC as well.
