Challenging students saw the advantage of taking risks and expressing their creativity in their art, rather than kicking up a fuss in class.

I had a gifted class where they were terrified to do anything that wasn’t “perfect” in their eyes and then I had the GLD (general learning disorder) class. The GLD kids were by far the most creative, motivated and talented. They didn’t fear failure!
