A Patch Adams’ Philosophy

Daniel caught my eye one early morning at Kitsilano Beach. He had just had a wonderful conversation with a stranger after going in the ocean, and I wanted to ask him about the experience. This conversation turned out to be the highlight of my day. Our conversation about Traveler In Your Own Town reminded him of talking with Dr. Patch Adams in Montreal, famous for using clowning to help further connections with his patients and others he met in public. Patch mentioned that we should talk to strangers. It will bring us happiness.
