Transforming a school

Feeling unwelcomed in her first two Canadian schools, this Iraqie grade 10 student felt as traumatized as the war in Iraq. Through the help of Cowichan Intercultural Society she learned new skills. After that support she returned to do presentations to the original school where she had only been able to last just two weeks a few years before. The school classes were transformed before her eyes.
